Hi all !

Last night Tiger Mauy Thai opened it's doors late for BBQ Beat Down…
BBQ Beat Down is a monthly event that takes place the last Saturday of each month at Tiger Muay Thai's training camp. Festivities include; all you can eat and drink, as well as many great fights featuring those training at Tiger. There was Boxing, Muay Thai and MMA all rolled up in one action packed night! Here is a link to my video of just some of the greatness that happened last night.

Patong Stadium Fights.

Last night I and a few others from Tiger Muay Thai went to Patong City to watch fights at the local Stadium. The stadium is located right in the heart of Patong, where all the craziness happens. Everything from lady bars (prostitutes), lady-boy bars (transvestite prostitutes), gambling, drinking and all the other debauchery made famous in Thailand is present. Being very focused on training I stayed clear of all that fun stuff. There will be plenty of time after my own fight, which will actually be in the same Stadium ! The event had many great fights with nearly 20 fights taking place that night. Of all the fights my favourite had to be the first fight. Each fighter was no older than 12 and had some of the best technique featured last night. It left me very inspired to train even harder and put on a show when I enter the Stadium again, but this time as a competitor.

I leave you with a few images of my night at Bangla Stadium for the "Big Fight Night" event at Potang.
Also my favourite fight of the night, featuring fighters who are under the age of 12~!

The first few days.

Now having 2 full days of training (10 hours total) I am really starting to get in the full swing of things.
The first day I did very well considering the 30 hour flight I just went through. I was amongst the top of my class both cardio and technique wise. Needless to say there is still tons of work to be done. My trainers are very knowledgeable in Muay Thai and I know I will learn so much from them durning my month long visit. But with that said, my first few days have really propelled me into high spirits. I am eagerly looking forward…

Here are few photos of the Muay Thai section of the gym along with the grill hut.

Flight Booked!

It's been awhile since my last blog…but now there is reason to post something!
This weekend I purchased my tickets to Phuket, 4 weeks inThailand  with a stop off in Japan on the way back! During this time I will be training with the world renown gym Tiger Muay Thai. All in preparation for a Muay Thai fight at the end of my training. Needless to say I am very excited for my future endeavour. With less than two weeks until my trip, there is a lot I still need to do in order to get ready. I will be updating my blog with the latest news on my trip and eventually the trip itself!
